Jehangir Sabavala

Jehangir Sabavala is a renowned Pakistani architect, who has worked on some of the most iconic projects in the country, such as the Kohinoor Square. He was born in 1948 in Karachi, Pakistan, and after completing his undergraduate studies at the University of Karachi, he started working as an assistant architect with an established firm. Sabavala rose to prominence in the late 1970s and early 1980s, when he started designing high-profile projects such as Kohinoor Square and the Allied Bank Building. He has since designed dozens of buildings across Pakistan, including a number of hospitals and educational institutions. Sabavala retired from active work in 2007 but continues to offer consulting services to various firms. He has been awarded several prestigious awards over the years, including the Nishat Award for excellence in architecture and the Sitara-i-Imtiaz award from President Musharraf.

Hafeez Sheikh

Hafeez Sheikh is one of the most renowned and respected Pakistani architects. He has been designing buildings for over four decades, and his work has been featured in several international magazines and newspapers.

Sheikh was born in 1941 in Karachi, Pakistan. He received his undergraduate degree in architecture from the Quaid-e-Azam University in 1965, and later earned a Master’s degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

After working as an assistant to several prominent Pakistani architects, Sheikh founded his own firm in 1973. He has since designed many notable buildings throughout Pakistan, including the Lahore Stock Exchange (1985), the Minar-e-Pakistan (1988), and the Islamabad High Court (2004).

In addition to his architectural work, Sheikh is also a noted sculptor and painter. He has exhibited his work around the world, including at the Venice Biennale (1991) and at the Gwangju Biennale (2008).

Sheikh is a highly esteemed figure within Pakistani architecture circles, and he has been awarded numerous awards including the prestigious Pride of Performance Award from the Sindh Government in 1997. His work is currently being displayed at several museums across Pakistan.

Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto

Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was born on October 14, 1929 in Lahore, Punjab, British India. He is best known as the first democratically elected Prime Minister of Pakistan from 1973 to 1977 and the founder of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP). Bhutto also served as the sixth president of Pakistan from 1977 to 1980. After his presidency, he was arrested and executed in 1979 by the government of Gen. Zia ul-Haq.

Bhutto was one of Pakistan’s most influential political leaders during his time in office. He helped to build up Pakistan’s infrastructure and economy while actively promoting social justice and democracy. His legacy remains significant today, with many aspects of Pakistani society still influenced by his policies and ideas.

Muhammad Yunus

Muhammad Yunus is a world-renowned economist and philanthropist who has made significant contributions to the field of microfinancing. He is also known for his work with the Grameen Bank, which he founded in 1976. Muhammad Yunus is a Pakistani architect whose work has been recognized for its innovative use of contemporary architecture techniques. He has designed buildings such as the Grameen Bank Headquarters in Dhaka, Bangladesh, which was awarded the Prize for best architecture by the International Council of Societies of Industrial Design.
